  • YC series single-phase asynchronous motor

    YC series single-phase asynchronous AC motor operates using a single-phase alternating current power supply, in contrast to three-phase motors that have three power conductors. YC Single-phase motors operate with just two power conductors, one serving as the power source and the other as the return path.

    These motors utilize the principle of electromagnetic induction to generate motion. When powered, the motor's stator creates a rotating magnetic field, which interacts with the rotor to induce a current and create a magnetic field in the rotor. This interaction produces torque, causing the rotor to rotate and drive the motor's load.

    Single-phase asynchronous AC motors are widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications due to their simplicity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

      Characteristic Description

      YC series single-phase asynchronous AC motor operates using a single-phase alternating current power supply, in contrast to three-phase motors that have three power conductors. YC Single-phase motors operate with just two power conductors, one serving as the power source and the other as the return path.

      YC series motors are fully enclosed in accordance with IEC standards, and the shell protection class is IP55. This series of motor winding has good insulation performance and mechanical strength. The centrifugal starting switch is installed inside the motor, the starting capacitor is installed above the motor, and the ambient temperature under the operating conditions does not exceed 40℃; Altitude not more than 1000M, continuous working system (S1).

      Inspection Methods

      Inspection methods for YC series single-phase asynchronous motors before starting:
      (1) For new or long-term discontinued motors, check the insulation resistance between windings and winding to ground before use. Usually, 500V insulation resistance meter is used for motors below 500V; 1000V insulation resistance meter for 500-1000V motor; 2500V insulation resistance meter for motor above 1000V. The insulation resistance shall not be less than 1MΩper kV operating voltage, and shall be measured in the cooling state of the motor.
      (2) Check whether the appearance of the motor is cracked, whether the fastening screws and parts are complete, and whether the motor is fixed well.
      (3) Check whether the work of the motor transmission mechanism is reliable.
      (4) According to the data shown on the nameplate, such as voltage, power, frequency, connection, speed, etc., is consistent with the power supply and load.
      (5) Check whether the ventilation of the motor and bearing lubrication are normal.
      (6) Turn the motor shaft, check whether the rotor can rotate freely, and there is no noise when rotating.
      (7) Check the brush assembly of the motor and whether the brush lifting mechanism is flexible, and whether the position of the brush lifting handle is correct.
      (8) Check whether the motor grounding device is reliable.

      YC series single-phase asynchronous motors commonly known as capacitor start motors: 
      Single-phase motor stator windings have primary windings and secondary windings, they are 90° in the space phase difference, we know that the magnetic field generated by the main winding of the single-phase motor is pulse vibration magnetic field, through the phase of the secondary winding and capacitor, in order to produce a fixed rotation direction of the magnetic field, when the speed exceeds 70-80%, the centrifugal switch will cut off the secondary winding and start the capacitor. Capacitive starting motor is characterized by large starting torque, starting torque multiple greater than 1.8, low power factor, high starting torque and good operating performance, small size, light weight, low noise, easy maintenance, used for starting requirements of higher occasions, such as agricultural machinery, food machinery, fans, pumps, machine tools, mixing machines, air compressors and so on
